Four Day First Aid at Work Course

This is a Health & Safety Executive approved three day course that complies with the HSE (First Aid) Regulations 1981 – First Aid coverage in the work place is a requirement. Below is an outline of the Four Day First Aid at Work Course.

Hostile Environments First Aid Course
Organisations who are operating in have a duty of care to any personnel who they deploy into a hostile environment. The HEFAT course is best suited & designed for NGOs, Security Personnel, Media, Offshore Personnel, aid workers & anyone operating in a voltoile area.

The HEFAT course is designed specifically for companies and individuals that operate world wide, particularly in areas where there may be concerns for personal health or safety.

The aim is to teach people how to deal with medical emergencies while living and working in not only conflict zones, but mountain & desert conditions & natural disasters.

The HEFAT course specialises in teaching life-saving skills where participants may have to deal with an emergency situation in a hostile environment when definitive medical care is not minutes away but maybe hours or days.

We show participants how to assess injuries correctly and give practical first aid. Training conducted in such a way that medical packs maybe used or natural recourses around have to be used. Improvised stretchers are taught to get the casualty to a safe area & transported to definitive medical care.

The whole course or individual subjects within it can be bespoked to specific assignments, geographical areas to be visited, climatic conditions that may be encountered or known difficulties within that area that the client is operating in.

Students on the course will not only be taught theory, but also be put through realistic training scenarios to prepare them for whatever medical situation may arise. These may range from RTAs, IEDS, Blast Injuries or natural disasters.

Course Contents : Primary Survey, CPR, Secondary Survey, Medical Conditions & Causes Of Unconsciousness, Wounds & Bleeding, Ballistic & blast Injuries, Fractures, Burns & Poisons, Medical Intelligence,Medical Evacuation, Environmental Injuries, Bites & Stings, Emergency Shelters, Incident & Casualty Managment O2 therapy & Defibrillation, medical packs.

The course can be conducted in the United Kingdom or overseas & bespoked to the clients needs.

CARE UNDER FIRE

This course is best suited for Security Officers deploying on operations overseas, the course can be conducted either in the United Kingdom or overseas. Should an incident happen whilst on board a ship or on land the vital seconds of administering first aid to the casualty who has become injured before transporting to definitive medical care in the sickbay or till the medic arrives on scene.

Course contents are, Primary Survey, CPR, Wounds & Bleeding, Ballistic & blast Injuries, TRaPS (Tactical Rapid Primary Survey ) Heat Illness & Medical Evacuation.
